This pilgrimage will acquaint participants with the
geographical and cultural settings of the Old and New Testaments and relate
historical studies to contemporary dynamics in Israel, Palestine and Greece.
The pilgrimage will include morning and evening fora on historical and contemporary
themes, such as peacemaking and human rights. It will include visits with
indigenous people. This pilgrimage is designed to introduce particpants to
the state of the art of biblical studies and emphasis the relevance of the
ancient faith in contemporary environments. The learning process will be contextual
and experiential. We will endeavor especially to examine the moral dimensions
of biblical learning and teaching. We are particularly interested in understanding
how biblical studies and the biblical faith relates to the context of the
Holy Land and the world at large.

Day 1 Depart Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paolo.
Day 2 Arrive Tel Aviv, oritentations and introductions, overnight in Galilee.
Day 3 Nazareth, The Basilica of the Annunciation, Sisters of Nazareth Convent, Kibbutz Mishmar ha Emek, Megiddo, overnight in Galilee.
Day 4 Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Tabgha, Church of St. Peter's Primacy, Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves, Mt. of the Beatitudes, Jordan River Valley, overnight in Jericho.
Day 5 Jericho, Tel es Sultan, Ein es Sultan, Baptismal site-Qasr al Yehud, Qumran, overnight in Jericho.
Day 6 Masada, The Dead Sea, Ein Gedi, Qumran, Qasr al Yehud (Baptismal site), overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 7 Mt. of Olives, Dominus Flevit, Garden of Gethsemane, Israel Museum, Shrine of the Book, 2nd Temple Model, overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 8 Old City walking tour, Western Wall, Temple Mount/Harem esh Sharif, St. Ann's Church, Via Dolorosa, Lithostratos, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 9 Bethlehem, Old City walking tour, Church of the Nativity, Herodion, Shepherd's Fields, Palestinian refugee camp, overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 10 transfer to airport, flight to Athens, driving tour and touring as time permits, overnight in Athens.
